Sticking to our Cause

There are times when starting a nonprofit that a person wants to quit. Remembering your mission, and holding fast to the cause gives reason enough to not walk away.
We started this nonprofit back in March to have a safety net for our clients. A PFA is a piece of paper, but it can be daunting to even file it. We have advocates that will be present at every step through court. We offer help filling out paperwork, and gathering all of the physical evidence the judges look for.
After the PFA is granted, we offer security for the clients, both at home and at work. This gives them the added protection until charges are set and served. We are a phone call away for as long as the client feels they need us.
Knowing what we do, and why we do it is what's keeping us on top of our game. Covid has hurt donations to a lot of nonprofits. This has put a damper on cases we can take. Everything from licenses to startup and escrow has been out of pocket. This has put a lot of strain on everyday functions like gas, bills and security vehicle upkeep. We are taking donations to get a physical place to practice from.
It has been difficult, bit in time we are hoping to expand, and hire on more advocates, and security. The 2023 day if giving is coming, and we hope to have the full amount we need for the building by then. Keep us in mind as you consider supporting a Domestic Violence Prevention nonprofit.
